“for Johnny” (2026)
A love letter to and joint production with Johnny Legnard of “There’s a Wolf”, this short film plunges the main character (Josh Russell) into a world he never wanted to be involved with. His friend (Matt Russell) drags him deeper into this fragmented dream and forces him to confront his choices in life. Filmed in one day, production went smooth as first-time-on-screen-actor Josh Russell and his brother, Matt Russell, ate their roles up and spit out strong performances that deserve more than 5 minutes to shine. The script was lifted from some of Johnny’s unpublished films, spinning the same words into a new context.

“Last Night In The Jungle” (2025)
The Jungle calls, but something wants to tag along. Killing the past isn't easy. Nomad (Matt Russell) finds a ticket to the life he's dreamed of, but first, he'll need to shed some Deadweight (Kamryn Bullis). This is the first chapter in Nomad's expedition deeper into his Jungle. Away from safety, he'll find freedom and trouble.
Inspired by films like "Interstate" by Samuel McIntosh, "Drive" by Nicolas Winding Refn, and "Nightcrawler" by Dan Gilroy, this short re-contextualizes the themes of "Shadow in the Jungle" by Johnny Legnard (which in itself is an adaptation of "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad).

Director's Notes: This short film has been a long time coming. In a way, it is a retelling of emotions and struggles that I've fought with for many years. Originally a feature-length film, this short crams a bunch of emotion into a tiny package. I know it isn't perfect, but I'm happy with what we were able to create. We all grew as storytellers and filmmakers during this production. I hope you all enjoy watching this just as much as I enjoyed making it. After some time sitting on the public release, I came back to the edit with a new perspective and the courage to dive deeper into my vision. Incorporating more elements of the original concept and fixing nit-pick issues, this final cut of my first dramatic short film leaves this story in a place that I'm happy with. It's not made for everyone, but instead for those who care. I'm so happy to see the success of the original and I know that this won't reach that peak, but I'm content knowing that someone will enjoy this.
“Plate Eater” (2024)

My first ever feature-length film! This was filmed for Joel Haver’s "Movies Shot During The Oscars" challenge. We had a total blast making this fully improvised noir-crime parody. The turnaround was less than 24 hours and the quality absolutely suffers, but I feel that the good times that were had are more important than polishing a 40-minute sh*t-pos.
